How to Package your Device (DIY)
If you're providing your own postage and packaging, here's a little guidance to help ensure your phone reaches us safely.
We cannot be responsible for the item until it reaches us, so please use a suitable delivery method. Using Royal Mail Special Delivery will likely speed up your pay-out time as it’s a next day service and is the service used by most of our customers. Whichever method of postage/delivery you use, it must be tracked (we will ask for the tracking number).
Our delivery address is:
MP Trade-in
38 George Street
Warminster
Wiltshire
BA12 8QB
If using a cardboard box to post your device, there must be sufficient padding in the parcel to prevent damage to the phone and box.
When using the self package and posting option, the seller is responsible for ensuring there is a sufficient amount of protection around the phone and box in the package. We cannot be held responsible for damages due to poor wrapping of the item.
We recommend the device is sent via Royal Mail Special Delivery at the Post Office. Please state to the Post Office the value of the phone (what we are paying you) then the phone will be insured to its value.
Packaging instructions for the self-package and posting option:
- Insert the device into a jiffy bag or sufficient alternative
- Insert the first package into a second jiffy bag or sufficient alternative
- Insert either a print out of your order confirmation, or a piece of paper with the order number inside the package and seal
- Ensure our postage address is clearly marked on the parcel, accurate and legible
- Post using a postage method which has the sufficient level of insurance for the value of the phone(s) in the package
